A few useful answers
The PPSR replaced the former state REVS registers in 2012. The finance check in this report is a PPSR search; we don't sell REVS as a separate extra.
Purchased reports are saved with the order reference. Download both PDFs after payment. Secure email recovery is available once delivery email is configured; otherwise keep your purchase reference for support.
No. Available information varies by vehicle, state and source. Missing data will be labelled. For example, PPSR-supplied NEVDIS stolen information does not cover Tasmania. A report shows information available at the time of the search; it is not a guarantee of a vehicle's condition.
You can use the vehicle’s full 17-character VIN instead. Available vehicle information depends on the source. A masked VIN cannot be used for a VIN search. Check the VIN on the actual vehicle before purchasing.
CHOOSE YOUR STARTING POINT
Review registered security interests and available stolen and write-off records. REVS is the familiar older name.
Start with the plate and state to identify the vehicle. Our guide also links to every official state registration enquiry.
Use the full 17-character identifier. Match it with the actual car and paperwork before purchasing.
Understand the A$10 report coverage, then combine it with service records, recall checks and an inspection.
A LITTLE KNOWLEDGE. A CLEARER DECISION.
Work through the checks before the money changes hands. A private sale needs more than a convincing advertisement.
